But this year was different. I have had my auto-insurance with GEICO for the last 17 years. It seemed it always inched up with each six-month billing. But I just accepted that. This year it just seemed ridiculous. I began to look at other insurance companies and one offered me insurance at nearly $500 less a year than GEICO. I called GEICO and asked to speak to an agent. I told them I had gotten this offer. The agent asked me a few questions and looked at my policy and told me GEICO ‘may’ have a way to lower my insurance rate.
